The lettuce seeding went so well that we decided it was time to plant the containers on the other side of the house. These containers on the back deck will be home to spinach, white onions, Boy Wonder #2's carrots, and pak choy. We started with planting the carrots.
Shovels must be used in some capacity, according to Boy Wonder #2. Girl Wonder #2 was supervising.
Holes for carrot seeds. We planted Rainbow Blend and Nantes. Boy Wonder #2 is obsessed with planting carrots. He really wants to be able to see in the dark so he promises to eat all the carrots that grow.
Planting the Rainbow carrots. The only thing he talks about more than carrots is rainbows. These should make him quite happy.
Seeds covered and getting a nice drink of MooPooTea. Girl Wonder #2 desperately wants to move soil around with daddy's grilling tongs. "As soon as he's done watering, I'm taking all the soil out and building a road."
I ended up planting the remaining veggie seeds while the Wonder Kids watched some Curious George. They lost interest in the seed planting when the ice cream truck drove by.
