I can't pick a peck of peppers because of pests. Pesky pests. It makes me cranky enough to break out into really bad verse.
This is what my peppers looked like before we sprinkled the pepper. Something decided the leaves were yummy. And it wasn't me.
Can you spot what used to be a pepper plant with 6 little leaves? Yeah, me neither. Ugh.
And then, what did my eyes spot sitting so docile-like and still on the pepper leaves? Aphids. Little beasties. They were promptly squished and drowned. Maybe this will help stop some of the destruction.
I'm interested to know if the cayenne works - keep me updated :)
ReplyDeleteThe cayenne is working, as long as the rain and over-zealous-with-the-watering-can children don't wash all of it off. It doesn't work on the squash if the squash vine borer has already infected the plant. The jury is still out on the newer plants that haven't been infected yet. We had a heavy rain last night so I had to sprinkle the plants again. During the night, the buggies got to the pepper plants that had been rain-washed free of the cayenne.
