Homeschool in the Garden

One of the fun aspects of homeschooling is incorporating our studies into the garden.  We can do science, math, spelling, history, and many other subjects while we work.  Girl Wonder #1 is starting preschool in the fall so her first task is to learn to count.

She had a great time counting to 8 with our brackets.  We worked on counting to 16 with our cedar planks. She kept getting hung up on 7 so we'll have to keep counting.

Both boys practiced math and sorting with daddy while making the boxes.  Boy Wonder #1 worked on his subtraction as he held the screws for daddy.  Boy Wonder sorted the screws into groups of 8 for daddy to use on each bracket.
